Bajaj Auto is popular for two wheeler and three wheeler, now is coming up with small car something similar to Tata Nano. The model will be known as RE 60 and would be powered by a 200cc engine and will give a mileage of 40km per litre of petrol. This car is four seater and would have a maximum speed of 70km/hour, what else can we expect from a 70cc vehicle.
This car is expected to be launched this year and would be available in Sri Lanka first before it comes to the Indian market.
We need to wait and see how the consumers look into this kind of product. I remember the days when Bajaj was dominating the Indian scooter market and we used to joke that Bajaj should not make cars as to start a Bajaj scooter we had to almost tilt sidely for a few seconds before kick starting and if Bajaj makes a car, it would be a tough job to tilt a car.
Let us wait and see the fate of this car – Hopefully we will see many users for this low cost and highly fuel efficient vehicle. I could not find the price of this car from any reliable sources – can anyone help on this?
