This is my second trip to Pookot and both the times I had a secret agenda to go for boating but my dream never came true. Pookot (Pookkode) lake is a fresh water lake in Thalipuzha, Wayanad district.

In addition to this list, there is a handicrafts shop which sells a variety of household items made of natural materials like bamboo, wood, coconut shell, coconut husk, etc. and variety of other products like honeyed amla (gooseberry), amla preserved in brine, tea, coffee, honey, variety of spices, herbal medicines like lemon grass oil, etc.
Lake premises is opened to the visitors from 9 am to 6 pm. They are charging an entrance fee, Rs. 15/- for every adult and Rs. 5/- for every child above 5 years. Photography is permitted and pay Rs. 20/- for the still camera and Rs. 50/- for the video camera.
