Real Time Reporting from Google Analytics

by Kishore on November 20, 2011

Google Analytics is the most used analytics software to keep track of website traffic and other information. Google Analytics has it’s real time reporting enabled now, I am not sure if they have enabled for all the accounts. I got an email from Google Analytics team today that it has been enabled for my account. I spent some time with the new Real Time reporting feature. Below you see the screenshot of the real time reporting page.

You see the number of visitors who are currently viewing your website and you can get most of the information about the visitor. You can know where the visitor came from, how time is being spent on the webpage, URL of the web page and so on. This new report is available only with the new version of Google Analytics. To see the real time report, you need to first enable the new version if you have not done and then select the website that you want to view and then go to the home tab. You will see the page as shown above.
